Admission 2007-2008

General

  • The Intake of students for the first year of B Sc (IT):2007-2008 is 120.
  • Out of 120 seats: 84 Seats are reserved for Science Stream students and 36 seats are reserved for General Stream students.
  • The candidate will be granted admission purely on the merit based on aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in HSC / Equivalent Examination.  Marks obtained in practical will be included in calculating aggregate marks for science stream students.

Eligibility

  • A Candidate  who has  passed HSC / Equivalent Examination from Science Stream ( A, B, AB Group) or General Stream with English as one of the subjects..
  • A candidate, who has passed HSC / Equivalent Examination with more than one attempt, will be placed in the merit list after deducting 2% marks per additional attempt.

Course Cost

The fees per annum  for first 3 Years will be Rs.18500. During 4th & 5th Year the fees per annum will be Rs   26000. The students may be allowed to pay the fees semester-wise. 

Instruction for filling Application Form.

All the particulars must be given in capital letters and in legible and hand writing.

Affix your recent passport size photograph at the place provided in the application form.

Attach certified true copies of following testimonials along with the application form:

1.  S.S.C. examination mark sheet.

2.  H.S.C. examination mark sheet.

3.  H.S.C. examination attempt certificate.

4. School leaving certificate.

5.  Non-creamy  layer certificate  for current Year i.e. issued on or after  1.4.2007 (for SEBC Candidates only).

6. Cast certificate (for SC/ST Candidates).

7. Civil  Surgeon's  Certificate (for  Physically Handicapped Candidates).

 

Submission of Application Form.

Application form along with testimonials shall be accepted at the "M.Sc. I.T. Programme Building",  Veer  Narmad  South  Gujarat University, Udhna - Magdalla Road, Surat", by hand delivery on or before prescribed last date.

 

Acknowledgment slip given to you on submission of the application form must be carefully preserved and it must be produced at the time of admission.

The duly completed application form can also be submitted by post through Registered AD only.

 

Application form can be downloaded from website "www.sguit.org" and will be accepted on payment of Rs. 100/- in cash at the Computer Centre. Whereas downloaded application form sent by post must accompany a DD of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of "M.Sc. (I.T.) Programme Fund", payable at Surat, so as to reach on or before last date.

 

The applications form sent by post should be addressed as "M.Sc. I.T. Programme Building", Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Udhna- Magdalla Road, Surat"

 

Announcement of Merit List & Admission.

The merit list will be displayed at the "M.Sc. I.T. Programme Building", Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Udhna - Magdalla Road, Surat" and also on the web site www.sguit.org and www.sgu.ernet.in as per following schedule.

 

Last  date  of  form  submission :  2.06.2007       

Merit  list  announcement            : 5.06.2007 at  1.00 PM.        

Admission  Counseling                  : 7.6.2007 & 8.6.2007         

 

Carefully note down your merit number. This number will be used for future reference.

Detailed admission Schedule will be displayed on the day of announcement of the merit list. Students are requested to note down the schedule of Admission Procedure displayed at the notice board at "M.Sc. I.T. Programme Building",  Veer  Narmad  South  Gujarat University, Udhna - Magdalla Road, Surat" and also on the website www.sguit.org.

 

Candidates may please note that no call letters or personal intimations will be sent to individual candidates regarding their merit number, Admission Schedule, etc. lt will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to know the merit number from the merit list announced and remain present for the admission on the respective day and time along with the necessary fees and testimonials.

 

Candidates who fail to report at the date and time declared for his / her admission will loose the right for admission and his/her seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit.

Candidates will be required to submit their Original Marksheets and School Leaving Certificate at the time of admission.

 

A students being offered admission will have to pay Rs. 1,000 as the Advance Fees. The balance fees will have to be paid within 3 working days from the date of the admission. The Advance Fees paid will be forfeited if remaining fees is not paid within the prescribed time.

Inability to pay the Fees will result in bypassing the candidate for admission.
